Acadia National Park is located on Mount Desert Island just off the coast of Maine. This scenic park encompasses mountains, ocean shoreline, lakes, and forest. Guests can expect to see moose, black bear, whit-tailed deer, and many seabirds.
Once again I had a great time with my family. Got awesome prices on wine when we made the stop @ New Hampshire. Acadia National Park was wonderful with extraordinary views. Shopping @ Mystic Village was great, I bought a beautiful handmade necklace I will cherish. The lobster @ Bar Harbor was delicious as well as the blueberry pie and ice cream. I was able to buy a blueberry wine and I cant wait to taste it and share it with friends. Unforgettable experience!!
It was a fantastic tour. Acadia National Park is very beautiful place and Cadallic Mountain too. The beauty of the mountains and the sea life is mesmerizing. I would recommend every person to visit there once. The beauty of this place is breathtaking. :)And the Tour guy Mr. King is also a very friendly person and was very helpful and shared lots of information about this tour.
all in all, the tour was great. the "attractions" were interesting: the liquor store, Mystic Village, Bar Harbor. we enjoyed the natural wonders of Acadia National Park through the climb up the summit of Cadillac Mt. and the exciting cruise later. we have beautiful photos to show for that happy experience.
This was a great bus tour. Mr. King & bus driver Wendall were both friendly. Mr. King was knowledgeable about the areas and was able to share with us tid bits and kept the bus ride entertaining. One thing I would advise is not to feel forced into buying the additional attractions like the zoo, etc. We thought the ticket price would be cheaper since we were a large group but learned that buying it at the attraction would have cost the same so I would advise holding off till you get to the place to see if you really want to go there instead of paying up front.
There were several issues with the bus from getting into an accident, overheating, breaking down, and having to change buses a couple of times. However I must say that Mr. King was very professional and handled it well, making sure that every thing was done to make the trip a success. My husband and I had a wonderful time, especially because breakfast was included with the hotel stay.
Great trip. Very relaxing - driver drove like an NYC cabbie, which meant it was quick but also that I preferred to close my eyes than watch him drive. Beautiful scenery - dozens of photo ops. Would recommend to others.
It was a superb tour specially for nature lovers. Mystic aquarium, cruise ride @ Bar Harbour viewing Cadillac mountains. Our tour guide George is very accomodating and cool. Didnt rushed anyone and completed the trip ontime. Bus Driver Trevis is very nice. Me n my wife enjoyed the trip a lot. This is my third trip with gotobus I ll def recommend this.
This tour was recommended by Iserel after my booking for another tour failed to depart. We did not regret taking up this tour as the scenery at Portland light house, Acadia National Park & Bar Harbour were mesmerising! Our Tour Guide Alfred was very accommodating & kind! He even refunded us the money when there was a reduction in the entrance fees to the Animal Kingdom. Time allocated for each interest was nicely spread out! The only complain was the hefty 31% tipping charged by West St Cafe for our meal at Bar Harbour. Would want to give more tipping to Alfred instead but cash has run out! Anyway, will still recommend this trip less the meal at West St Cafe.
The Tour was Fantastic. Our guide, Alex, was nice and helpful. Only missing thing was the Whale watch. I dont know why they dropped whale watch. Also, the sound for the video on the bus was not loud enough. Thanks
Apart from all the great scenic places and attractions, this tour was very well-organized and well-managed (credit goes to Alfred, the tour guide). Enough time was allotted to each attraction. They dropped the whale-watching (since very few were interested to pay for ticket) and replaced it with a cruise ride (which unlike the typical narrated cruise rides did not feel boring to me. Awesome scenes are out there!). The York Wild Kingdom is one of the zoos were you can walk around the goats/deers and feed them, ride a paddle boat, etc. so, not the typical experience. The lumberjack show is very grade-school (even pre-school) type of show. Unless you have a 4yo kid, I wouldn't recommend that one. And be ready to spend a good $160/person on top of the tour registration fee (for all the attractions and food).
