Day 1: Bangkok

Deluxe Hotel: 4-5 star hotel in Bangkok

The tour guide will pick guests up from the Suwannabhumi Airport (wait on the 2nd floor by Exit #3) and help them transfer to Bangkok. Guests will be able to spend the rest of the day at their own leisure.

Day 2: Bangkok City Tour

The tour guide will pick guests up from the hotel in Bangkok. Then, we will proceed to sightsee around the city, visiting famous attractions like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Afterwards, we will visit Chinatown. Guests will have the chance to enjoy a Thai spa and delicious local cuisine. In the evening, they have the option of enjoying dinner at a rooftop restaurant. Then, we will return to the hotel.

Today, we will check out of the hotel in Bangkok and fly to Chiang Mai. A local guide will pick us up from the airport and help us transfer to a hotel. Then, we will have the remainder of the day to explore at our own pace.

Day 4: Orchid and Butterfly Farm - Elephant Camp - Bamboo Rafting - Long Neck Tribes

In the morning, guests will be picked up in Chiang Mai before we head to an orchid and butterfly farm. Afterwards, we will head to an elephant camp to ride elephants through the jungle! We will eventually return to camp on an ox cart. Once we are back, we will enjoy lunch at the camp. After that, we will go bamboo rafting on the river before visiting the Karen Long Neck Hill Tribe, a tribal group that has lived in these hills for a long time, living a rugged, simple lifestyle. In the evening, we will return to our hotel.

Day 5: Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

After pickup, we will drive to Chiang Rai to visit the Mae Krajam Hot Spring, where we can spend time enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Then, we will drive to the White Temples, which sparkle in the sun due to small pieces of glass embedded in the plaster. After that, we will visit the Golden Triangle, Laos Market and the Ban Dam Museum before returning to Chiang Mai in the evening.

Day 6: Chiang Mai - Doi Inthanon Mountain - Chiang Mai

After pickup from the hotel, we will drive to Doi Inthanon, the tallest mountain in Thailand. Then, we will visit the Twin Pagodas, meet the Karen Hill Tribe and relax at the Washiratarn Waterfall. Later, we will return to Chiang Mai.

Day 7: Chiang Mai

Our first stop of the day is the Doi Suthep Temple, the most famous and important religious site in Chiang Mai. Next, we will travel to Phuping Palace, a royal residence in Doi Buak Ha, built in the mountains overlooking Chiang Mai. After that, we will enjoy a delicious lunch before visiting the Sankamphaeng Umbrella Factory. We will finish the trip with a cultural show and dinner in the evening.

Day 8: Chiang Mai - Bangkok (579 km)

Today, we will check out of the hotel in Chiang Mai and transfer to the airport for our flights back to Bangkok.

  • Return Flight: Please schedule your return flight from Bangkok airport after 8:00pm.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    15-29 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
