    Massachusetts State House

    Massachusetts State House
    Perched grandly atop Beacon Hill, the Massachusetts State House has been the location of Massachusetts government since 1798. This iconic domed building houses the governor's offices and the state legislature. Tours must be scheduled in advance.

    Park Street Church

    An important stop on the Freedom Trail, the Park Street Church is adjacent to the Old Granary Burial Ground. Founded in 1809, the members of this church, to this day, have a strong interest in aiding social justice issues.

    Old Granary Burial Ground

    Originally named the North Burial Ground, Copp's Hill is Boston's second oldest cemetery, and is the final resting place of famous figures from the city's past,

    King's Chapel and Burying Ground

    King's Chapel is a Unitarian church in Boston. Along with its adjacent cemetery, it is an important location along the Freedom Trail. The cemetery is the final resting place of many important colonial and revolutionary figures.

    First Public School Site and Benjamin Franklin Statue

    Those who follow the path of Boston's Freedom Trail will pass the plaque commemorating the former location of Boston Latin School, the first public school in America. The site also features a statue of founding father Benjamin Franklin.

    Old South Meeting House

    This historic building along Boston's Freedom Trail was the meeting place of those revolutionary Americans who planned the legendary Boston Tea Party.

    Old Corner Bookstore

    Though the building at this site no longer houses the bookstore that was once at the center of the American publishing industry, it is still an important stop along Boston's Freedom Trail.

    Old State House

    Not to be confused with the large, gold-domed building on Beacon Hill, Boston's Old State House was the site of the Boston Massacre in 1770 and is a major stop along the Freedom Trail. Today, it houses a small museum.

    Faneuil Hall

    Since 1743, this meeting hall and marketplace in downtown Boston is a stop along the city's historic Freedom Trail. It played an important role in the early days of the state's government and in the buildup to the American Revolution.

    Paul Revere House

    This dark brown house in the North End of Boston was the home of Paul Revere, famous for his midnight ride, which warned American colonists of the oncoming British forces on the even of the American Revolution.

    Old North Church

    A historic landmark and the oldest surviving church building in Boston, founded in 1722, the Old North Church is known as the beacon which signaled Paul Revere before his famous midnight ride before the start of the American Revolution.

    Copp's Hill Burial Ground

    USS Constitution

    The USS Constitution, or "Old Ironsides," is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. A wooden ship comissioned in 1794, it was named by President George Washington. It lays anchor at in the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston.

    Bunker Hill Monument

    Bunker Hill Monument built to commemorate the battle, the monument is located in Charlestown, where you can admire naval shipyards and the city of Boston.
