Today we will be picked up by the tour guide from hotel in Cairo in the morning. Then we will transfer to Cairo Domestic Terminal for flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our guide will be greeting with us.

We will visit the magnificent Karnak Temple and walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes, visit the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, see the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, and witness the Temple of Amon, adorned with exquisite lotus and papyrus designs.

Followed by the world famous Valley of the Kings and we will have the opportunity to visit three Tombs. Afterwards we will continue to visit Hatshepsut's Temple at El Deir El Bahari. On the return way, we will also stop at the Colossi of Memnon, 2 gigantic statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile. Luxor has so much to see, feel, eat and buy so if you have time and want to visit more, just inform with us in advance and your guide will arrange it for you.

After that, guests will be transferred to Luxor Airport for the flight back to Cairo and then transfer to your hotel. Please refer to the "Departure & Return" for more detailed information.

    Luxor is a city on the east bank of the Nile River in Egypt. It's on the site of ancient Thebes, the pharaohs' capital at the height of their power, during the 16th-11th centuries B.C.E.

    Karnak Temple

    This vast complex of ruined temples was once the great Egyptian city of Thebes. It is a vast, open-air museum where visitors can see a cross-section into many eras of ancient Egyptian culture.

    Colossi of Memnon

    These two massive stone statues near Luxor have stood for nearly 3,400 years, marking the entrance to the ancient Theban necropolis. Both statues depict the pharaoh Amenhotep III and are made of quartzite sandstone.

    Valley of the Kings

    This valley is named because during a period of about 500 years, several Egyptian pharaohs were buried here. It is one of the most significant Egyptian archaeological sites.

    Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

    Nestled into a set of cliffs in the ancient city of Thebes, now modern day Luxor, this ancient temple is dedicated to the god Amen-Ra. It is considered the closest ancient Egyptians came to the Calssical style of architecture.

Additional Note

  • If we can visit the three tombs at Valley of the Kings or not will be determined by Egyptian Government for preserving the attraction from the large flow of visitors. Therefore we cannot confirm which tombs we will visit in advance. Please note the visit of King Tut's tomb will be charged extra ticket fee.
  • Domestic flights from Cairo to Luxor will be at 6 am or 7 am, and Luxor back to Cairo will be at 6:00pm or 11:00pm. For guests who would like the specific flight times or changes to previously booked reservations, it may result in extra charges. We will inform you about the price difference after your booking.
  • Please take along your own valid passport and visa to join the tour. Guests would take the whole responsiblity for any loss due to any travel document.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive a confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is processed. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking Changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Take tours for details.
    Cancellation penalties per person (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    30 or more days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    7-29 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
