Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fez (300 km)

Today we will drive to Fez passing by Rabat and Meknes. We will visit important places in those cities as well as the Roman ruins. Then we continue to Fez where we'll arrive in the evening and here we stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan riad/hotel.

Day 2: Fez

In the morning we will visit the medina (the old city) and its alleys, including visit of the Jewish Quarter and the Royal Palace. Then we will visit the famous Tannery and the Karaouine Mosque. After lunch, we will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city and we will have a free program. We will stay overnight at a local hotel in Fez.

    Royal Palace gate

    It is the royal palace of the Sultan of Alaouite in Fez, Morocco. The palace is located in the Fez Jdid district. It is 80 hectares in size and is known for its brass doors decorated with hard tiles and carved cedarwood. The palace is not open to the public.

    University of Al Quaraoiyine

    According to UNESCO, this university in Morocco is the oldest continually operating degree-awarding educational institution in the entire world, first established in 859 AD. Its curriculum focuses heavily on Islamic religious and legal sciences.

Day 3: Fez - Azrou - Merzouga (353 km)

Today we will drive towards Ifrane. We will stop at Azrou. Then we will enjoy lunch in Midelt at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. Then we will travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and along the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. Afterwards we we will drive through Berber villages to Erfoud and then Rissani, and finally, we will reach Merzouga. Overnight in a local hotel near desert dunes.

    Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Azrou is a Moroccan town located 89 km south of Fez in the Yvesland province of Fez-Meknes.

Day 4: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley (195 km)

Today our camel guide will wake us up early in the morning to watch the best sunrise of life. Then we will take a camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. On the way we will appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After breakfast and hot shower in the hotel, we will leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todgha Gorges. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we will drive through the Dades Valley, where we will see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as "monkey toes".

Day 5: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhadou - Marrakech (410 km)

Leaving from Dades Valley, we will head to Marrakech in the morning. We will visit Kasbah Taourirt and Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate and UNESCO protected the site of Ait Ben Haddou., a most impressive Kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Many movies were filmed there such as the Gladiator. Then we will leave from Ait Benhaddou and head towards the majestic Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizi N Tichka 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby. Arrive at Marrakech in evening.

    Atlas Studio

    Atlas Film Studio is largest film studio in the world. Atlas Film covers more than 322,000 square feet and it is located on the Orakarzate road, just five miles from Ouarzazate. It is a popular tourist destination. The Jewel of the Nile, The Living Daylights, Aladdin (2019 film), The Mummy have used the services of the studio.

    Kasbah Taourirt

    Kasbah Taourirt was built in the 19th century and the El Glaoui's power reached their peak in the 1930s. Although the castle is located at the strategic intersection of the caravan route, it has never really been inhabited by the chief of El Glaoui.

    Ait-Benhaddou

    Ait-Benhaddou is the ighrem on the former caravan route. Ait-Benhaddou is a model of Moroccan clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

Day 6: Marrakech

After breakfast in the Riad, we will start exploring Marrakech, the red city of Morocco. We will see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, we will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, we will have some free time to wonder by ourselves the other parts of the city.

    Majorelle Gardens

    Mardin’s Majorelle Garden is one of the most popular attractions in Morocco, it was founded in 1923 by the French Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle and lasted nearly 40 years.

    Koutoubia Mosque

    Located in Marrakesh's medina quarter, this mosque is the city's largest, built around the 12th-century B.C.E., and located near the Jemaa el-Fna marketplace. At night, the entire complex is illuminated by floodlights.

    Bahia Palace

    "Bahia" means "brilliance," and one would be hard-pressed to come up with a more apt descriptor for the Bahia Palace in Marrakech, a 19th-century complex that was intended to be the most magnificent palace in the world.

    Saadian Tombs

    This system of tombs dates back to roughly the late 1600s, and was rediscovered in the early 1900s. The tombs are now one of Marrakech's major tourist attractions because of their intricate designs.

    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure, any kind of modification of reservation need notice to TakeTours by email.
  • CANCELLATION OR CHANGE POLICY
    All cancellations or changes of date must comply with the following details:

    You can get total refund if cancel or change before 46 days of departure date (not including departure date).
    25% of total fee will be charged if cancel or change within 30 to 45 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    50% of total fee will be charged if cancel or change within 15 to 30 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    Absolutely NO refund on all cancellations or postponements within 15 days prior to departure (not including departure date).
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • TRAVEL INSURANCE
    Tour operator is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal items, or personal injury that may occur on or during the tour.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
