Day 1: New York - Whiteface Mountain (273 miles)

Today we will depart from New York and visit the Whiteface Mountain and take the Whiteface Mountain Lift. Then we will continue to visit the High Falls Gorge and Lake Placid Olympic Village.

Lake Placid Town, NY
Lake Placid is well known among winter-sports enthusiasts for its skiing, both Alpine and Nordic. It hosted the 1932 and the 1980 Winter Olympics.

High Falls Gorge
The High Falls Gorge is located near Lake Placid, New York amidst the Adirondack Mountains. It is the location where the Ausable River spills over the edge of Whiteface Mountain.

Olympic Center
The Olympic Center at Lake Placid, New York was the site of the famous 1980 Olympics, best known for the hockey showdown between the United States and Russia in which a scrappy American team dethroned the Russian powerhouse.

Day 2: Ausable Chasm - New York (295 miles)

We will go to visit the Ausable Chasm. Here, visitors will have an opportunity to descend hundreds of feet and walk along the natural stone walkways in the Chasm. Return back to New York in the evening.

Keeseville is a hamlet in Clinton and Essex counties, New York, in the United States.It developed along the Ausable River, which provided water power for mills and industrial development.

Ausable Chasm
Ausable Chasm, carved into upstate New York's Adirondack Mountains by an eponymous river, is made of 500-foot-thick Potsdam sandstone that is over 500 million years old. At its southern end, it drains into Lake Champlain.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
