Dating back nearly a millennia, this historic castle on the shores of the Thames in London has served many important functions throughout history. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a museum that is open to the public. In 2011, nearly two and a half million people visited the tower. Six ravens are kept on the premises at all times, as according to legend, their absence will cause the fall of the kingdom.
