  • The capacity for all the cabins and suite is max 2 pax (single, or double room). For Queen Tyi Suite Room, one extra bed can be arranged for the 3rd person (only for a child).

Day 1: Luxor - Esna (58 km)

After arrival in Luxor, we will transfer aboard to the dahabiya. Start the cruise to Esna, then we will enjoy dinner and overnight on board.

Day 2: Esna - Edfu - Bisaw (88 km)

After arrived in Edfu, we will take a carriage ride to the temple in further inland. This shrine of the falcon god Horus is both the largest temple of the Ptolemaic dynasty and the second largest in Egypt. Then we will return back to the cruise and continue to the Bisaw Island where the boat will stop for the night. Then we can enjoy free walk in the island and dinner on the bank.

    This city sits on the West Bank of the Nile River in Egypt, between Esna and Aswan. It is notable for the massive Temple of Horus and the remains of ancient pyramids.

    Temple of Edfu

    An ancient Egyptian temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BC. It's located on the west bank of the Nile in Edfu, Upper Egypt and is one of the best preserved shrines in Egypt.

Day 3: Bisaw - Gebel el-Silsila - Kom Ombo - Herdiab

Today we will visit Gebel el-Silsila. We will take a walk from the old quarry before continuing the cruise to visit the Kom Ombo. Then we will return to the boat and continue up the river to the island of Herdiab for dinner.

Day 4: Aswan

Today we will enjoy breakfast on board and arrive in Aswan early. We will visit the Philae Temple on the island of Agilka. After that, we will continue to visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. In the granite quarry we will find the largest obelisk known to date (41.75m). Then we will return to the boat for lunch. We can choose to enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Philae Temple in the evening. Dinner and overnight on board.

    High Dam

    This embankment dam sits on the Nile River in southern Egypt. Built between 1898 and 1902 to prevent the annual flooding of the Nile River, the dam also provides irrigation water and hydroelectric power.

    Temple of Isis on Philae

    This temple was built on the island of Philae, which sits downstream of the Aswan Dam, in the 4th century BC. The temple has been noted for its architectural prowess.

    Unfinished Obelisk

    This ancient obelisk is the largest known in the world, weighing in at around 1,200 tons, but it was buried under bedrock for many years due to its incompletion. It was most likely built during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut.

Day 5: Aswan - Esna (138 km)

Today we will enjoy our free morning in the town. Then we can take an optional excursions by bus or plane to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. Afterwards we will return to Aswan for lunch before resuming navigation to Esna, where we will arrive at night. Dinner and overnight on board.

    Abu Simbel Temples

Day 6: Esna - Luxor (45 km)

After breakfast on board, we will go to visit the Temple of Esna. Then we will return to the boat for the last part of the cruise to Luxor. We will arrive in the middle of the afternoon to visit the southern part of ancient Thebes, where there are the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

    This large temple complex was the grand monument in ancient Thebes. Constructed around 1400 BCE, various sections were built under the rule of the famous pharaohs Tutankhamen and Ramesses II.

Day 7: Luxor

After breakfast, we will visit the Necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile, followed by the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, where there are the tombs of many pharaohs of the New Kingdom. Then we will continue to visit the Colossi of Memnon, last vestiges of the temple of Amenhotep III and Deir el Bahari, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. In the evening, we can enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple.

    Colossi of Memnon

    These two massive stone statues near Luxor have stood for nearly 3,400 years, marking the entrance to the ancient Theban necropolis. Both statues depict the pharaoh Amenhotep III and are made of quartzite sandstone.

    Valley of the Kings

    This valley is named because during a period of about 500 years, several Egyptian pharaohs were buried here. It is one of the most significant Egyptian archaeological sites.

    Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

    Nestled into a set of cliffs in the ancient city of Thebes, now modern day Luxor, this ancient temple is dedicated to the god Amen-Ra. It is considered the closest ancient Egyptians came to the Calssical style of architecture.

Day 8: Luxor

Meal: Excluded
Today we will enjoy our free time after breakfast until checking out.
Depending on the weather and the wind, it is possible that the dahabiya needs to be towed by another boat for some distance. Please note that navigation conditions may also change the schedule or order of visits.
  • Departure time: Check-in on Cruise board is possible all the day on Saturday. The boat starts the sail early morning on Sunday.
    Departure Location: West bank in front of Sofitel Winter Palace Hotel Luxor.
  • Airport pick up point: There will be someone with a "Egypt Nile Cruises" board waiting before the border control in the Luxor airport (at 10 Euro/pax).

  • Queen Tyi I:
    The Queen Tiy II is 36 meters long and 6.5 meters wide, making it possible to enjoy a floor area of over 150 square meters. It has 4 cabins and 1 suite with private terrace.
  • Queen Tiy II:
    The Queen Tiy II is 46 meters long and 8 meters wide, making it possible to enjoy a floor area of over 250 square meters. It has 2 suites with private terrace and 8 standard cabins of 14 square meters.
  • Room capacity: Queen Tyi I has 4 cabins and 1 suite totally for max 10 pax; Queen Tyi II has 8 cabins and 2 Suites for max 20 pax. The capacity for all the cabins and Suite is max 2 pax (single or double room). For Queen Tyi's Suite, we can arrange to add 1 extra bed for the 3rd person (normally for a child).
  • We can provide the Airport transfer service to the boat on the first day and last day at 10 Euro/pax. Also if you need to be picked up at other location than the airport, we can arrange it for an extra fee. Please contact us in advance if you have any need.
  • Passport/Visa: To enter Egypt, guests must take along with a valid passport or a national identity card with 2 photos valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure, visa and other travel documents.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is received. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking.
  • Changes to Reservations: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - No penalty.
    1-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
