Day 1: Marrakech

As guests arrive at the terminal, they should keep their eyes out for the tour guide holding a sign, who will help them transfer to the hotel in Marrakech. Once everyone has arrived, we will gather in the hotel lobby at 7:00pm to meet each other and hold a fast, informal introductory meeting. There is an optional group dinner (MAD100) available for us to get to know our fellow travelers.

Day 2: Marrakech - Ourzazate (Winter); Marrakech - Zagora - M'hamid - Jeep Safari (Summer) (126 km)

Winter: After breakfast we will depart for Ouarzazate and visit the Berber Village Ait Ben Haddou. The site is well known for its stunning Kasbah used in many wold-famous Hollywood films, a perfect example of traditional Moroccan fortress towns. Stop at a local Berber House and meet the locals over some traditional Moroccan tea.

Summer: It's time to cross into the vast Sahara desert! Drive along the Draa valley until reaching the desert village of Zagora where we will join a 4x4 jeep safari. Pass through magnificent dessert villages and take a break at an oasis for a locally prepared lunch. Continue on to the Saharan oasis town of M'hamid and climb up the sand dunes before we heading to our camp. A traditional Moroccan dinner is prepared by the camp staff to enjoy under the desert stars.

    Ait-Benhaddou

    Ait-Benhaddou is the ighrem on the former caravan route. Ait-Benhaddou is a model of Moroccan clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

Day 3: Ouarzazate - Zagora - Mhamid (winter); M'hamid - Camel Trek (Summer)

Winter: We will ride camel accross the Sahara, have lunch at a local house in the desert and make our way back to the campsite: watching the desert change colour at sunset. Enjoy Bedouin style dinner and if you're lucky locals may entertain you with traditional songs and dances by the campfire.

Summer: After leaving the desert, we will head for Agadir where we can see sandy beaches, beautiful vast ocean, pretty village and markets. If interested, you can have optional water sports.

Day 5: M'hamid - Agadir (Winter); Agadir - Essaouira (Summer)

Winter: Leave the desert sands for the sandy beaches of Agadir and the beautiful vast ocean. A popular sea resort, especially for windsurfers, the town gets 340 days of sunshine a year! Roam the pretty village and markets, and rest up along the southern Atlantic coastline of Morocco.

Summer: Today, we will return to our coach and drive along the charming ocean coast and banana plantations until we reach Essaouira, Morocco's best sea resort. Here we can have water sports, delicious Moroccan seafood, visit vast beaches and enjoy nightlife. Its marvellous citadel is an attraction of its own with breath-taking views of the ocean and tiny local shops scattered all around.

    The long corridor of Essaouira has a wide sandy beach for swimming. Essaouira is an outstanding example of fortifications in the late 18th century. It was built on the principles of contemporary European military architecture in the context of North Africa.

Day 6: Agadir - Essaouira (Winter); Essaouira (Summer)

We will drive along the charming ocean coast and banana plantations until we reach Essaouira. Then we would have water sports, delicious Moroccan seafood, visit vast beaches and enjoy attractive nightlife. Its marvellous citadel is an attraction of its own with breath-taking views of the ocean and tiny local shops scattered all around.

Summer: We will have a full day to discover the beautiful town of Essaouira. Wander through tall white houses with yellow detail and blue doors, narrow streets, local markets and the impressive ramparts that surround the old town. Enjoy some jazz, and savour delicious fish at the Essaouira port for a spectacular evening..

Day 7: Essaouira - Marrakech (167 km)

Today, we will depart for Marrakech through Argan trees. If you're lucky, you may meet goats climbing the trees. In the afternoon, we will reach the fascinating city of Marrakech, visit Djemaa el Fna Square, which is filled with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and folk dancers. We will spend the night in the city.

Day 8: Marrakech

The tour will end after we check out of our hotel in Marrakech at 11:00am. After saying goodbye to their new friends, guests will transfer to the airport for departure flights.
  • Complementary arrival airport transfer is available on the first day of the tour (Day 1) from the airports of the city where your tour starts in Morocco. Transfers are available between 05:00am to 23:59pm. To confirm your airport transfer, please forward us following information at least 2 weeks before your departure date.
  • Please note: Airport transfer is not available with post tour accommodations. There is only one return shuttle to the airport on the final morning, please refer to your guide for details.

Additional Note

  • This tour is recommended for travelers between 18-39 years old. Others are welcome, but most passengers will be within this age group.
  • Children are not allowed; Passengers must be over 18-year-old in order to join the tour.
  • Spending money: Every person has different spending habits, but to help you out with your planning, we estimated your average daily expenses. An approximate amount of �20 per day for lunch & dinner (without drinks), and �30 per day as personal spending money (souvenirs, handicraft etc. not included) is generally sufficient.

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 2-3 business days of submitting your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

  • You will receive a confirmation voucher in 2-3 business days after you receive the e-ticket. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination and departure details, is included in your confirmation voucher. When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print the confirmation voucher to present when you arrive at your destination. It is your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    All changes, amendments or additions must be confirmed prior to 60 days of the departure date to avoid cancellation or amendment fees. No new passengers may be added to a booking once completed.

  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • a) Name & Tour Date changes requested within:
    60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �25 per person;
    29-15 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �50 per person;
    14 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
    b) Tour Destination changes requested within:
    60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �35 per person;
    29 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
    Changing the tour date and/or the destination is subject to availability of the new requested date and/or the destination. If the revised tour has a higher price and/or local payment, the price difference must be paid by the passenger. It is not possible to transfer the booking to travel dates outside of seasonal dates covered in tour operator brochure or by the relevant edition of the website valid at the time the original booking was made. Hotelier cancellation charges are liable to be paid by the passenger in the event of booked pre-tour and post-tour accommodation being unused whatever the circumstances are.
  • Cancellations penalty within the balance payment period (60-0 days prior to departure) are as follows: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    60 days or more prior to departure - �60 per person.
    59-30 days prior to departure - 70% of total purchase amount.
    29-15 days prior to departure - 85% of total purchase amount.
    1-14 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
