Overall the tour was thoroughly enjoyable but....
1/ our pick-up address in Montreal (there was no clear no. 68)Boulevard Rene Levesque, Montreal was very confusing as the road changed numbering systems at the junction by the hotel. One direction stopped before 68 the other went from 50 to 88!
2/ there was confusion over payment for meals. We had paid but the our conformation correspondence was ambiguous - "Optional meal plan...Surcharge" This should have said Optional meal plan "Paid". Our guide insisted very nicely that we had NOT paid after contacting the organisers. We had. This caused us distress and ruined part of the trip. We contacted our son in Scotland to copy our bank statements to prove we HAD paid. The problem was with the organising company insisting we paid in in Canadian dollars but we had paid in American dollars. On checking and after much discussion our guide agreed we had paid for our meals already and he was very apologetic.Confusion was not his fault at all really.
3/We were the only non-Asians on the bus. This is no more than an observation, as we were made very welcome and made good friends on the trip.
