After breakfast, go out on a sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting highlights of Old & New Delhi. Start the tour by visiting the largest monument of Old Delhi, the imposing Red Fort. Very near the fort is the 17th-century Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Walk through the famous bazaars of Chandni Chowk to experience the hustle and bustle of a crowded oriental bazaar. Also visit Raj Ghat, the Mahatma Gandhi memorial, a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation. In New Delhi, visit the India Gate, and the road that leads from there to the President House, flanked by the houses of Parliament, the Secretariat building followed by the Humayun’s Tomb. End your tour, before your return to the hotel, by visiting Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret of its kind in the world.

Begin the day with one breakfast at the hotel before a sightseeing tour of Agra, which includes the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal. During the visit, admire the intricacy of the work of the 20,000 craftsmen who were brought from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy to build this astonishing monument (closed on Fridays). Continue the tour and visit the Agra Fort, whose forbidding red sandstone battlements hide a number of majestic Mughal palaces. Explore the delightful Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience) where the emperor once sat on his throne to address his people and the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) where he hosted kings and foreign dignitaries. The white marble Mina Masjid (Heavenly Mosque) stands in contrast to the rest of the Red Fort. Afterwards, drive back to Delhi.

After breakfast, take an assisted transfer to the Delhi airport to board flight for Udaipur (not included). Upon arrival at the Udaipur airport, meet and greet by our representative followed by a transfer to your hotel. In the late afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise (common boat ride on sharing basis) for a scenic cruise on Lake Pichola, enjoying a new perspective of the city. See the City Palace, temples, bathing ghats and the two ‘floating’ palaces in the lake, alighting at Jag Mandir. Bask in the golden hues of the sunset as the boat returns to the quays before transferring to the hotel.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before exploring Udaipur with a sightseeing tour. Located on the northern shore of Lake Pichola and surrounded by the green Aravalli Hills, the White City's historic homes, temples and palaces speak of a noble past. Visit the City Palace, from where the maharajas of Mewar ruled their kingdom. Nowadays, it is a museum showcasing the lavish palaces in which the royals lived. Continue to Saheliyon-ki-bari (Garden of the Maids of Honour) which was where the royals hosted their exuberant parties and drive around the Fateh Sagar Lake, past the Lok Kala Mandal puppet museum and the statue of Maharana Pratap. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

  • What do I need to bring? Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in India. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Shoes should be removed before entering a temple or private house. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

    More than 30 days before departure: No cancellation charge
    Between 15 days and 29 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
    Between 8 days and 14 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
    7 days or less before departure: 100% of total tour cost
    No-show at the airport on the day of arrival/departure: 100% of total tour cost
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
