Day 1: New York City - Martha's Vineyard - Falmouth, MA (208 miles)

Starting from New York City, we will take you to explore the Island of Martha's by taking the largest Martha's Vineyard Ferry service in Woods Hole. The comfortable with spacious seating Ferry will then you to Martha's Vineyard located south of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, that is also known for being an affluent summer colony. The fun begins as soon as you arrived at this beautiful island, an island Sightseeing Bus is waiting to take you to explore this gorgeous island. Along with this tour, you'll be greeted by one of the professional tour guides, who'll be narrating the sightseeing tour of Martha's Vineyard. Next, you will have leisure time to discover and enjoy your dinner at this island with many restaurants and gift shops.

Day 2: Plymouth - Cape Cod

First, we will be going up onto the Pilgrim Monument, the place to commemorate the first landfall of the Pilgrims in 1620, and the signing of the Mayflower Compact in Provincetown Harbor. In addition, on top of this monument you can capture stunning views of Cape Cod. It's time for "Splashdown"to Whale Watch. You will be cruising on a large ship heading off to the North Atlantic ocean to capture some breathtaking whale pictures. The excitement continues as coming up next you will be visiting the Whydah Pirate Museum, discover about the real pirate life. Then, you will have Free Time exploring and enjoy a dinner at Cape Cod.

    Pilgrim Monument

    This 250+-foot-tall bell tower in Provincetown, MA is the tallest all-granite building in the United States. It was constructed in 1910 as a commemoration of the Pilgrims who first landed at Cape Cod, MA in 1620. Tourists from around the world visit Provincetown to climb the monument, and view the Provincetown Museum at its base. The monument commemorates the Pilgrims, and the museum pays tribute to Provincetown's vibrant and historic maritime past.

Day 3: Providence - New York (260 miles)

Today, we will head to Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth Massachusetts, where brings colonial Plymouth vividly to life. You will find modest timber-framed houses furnished with reproduction of the types of objects that the Pilgrims owned back to the 17th-Century. More, we will visit the Grist Mill before we leave. The tour heads to Newport Rhode Island for our next destination - Newport Sailing Cruise, the "Sailing Capital of the World". Guests will see Newport's stately Bayside Mansions, a 19th Century military fort and beautiful old Lighthouses on Narragansett Bay.
(Note: Newport Sailing Cruise will be replaced by Essex town Steam Train & Boat ride in case of bad weather or other reasons.)

    Plimoth Grist Mill

    This working grist mill in Plymouth, MA is a reconstruction of the old Jenney Grist Mill built by colonist John Jenney in 1636. It burned down in 1837, but was rebuilt on the same spot.

    Plimoth Plantation

    The Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA is a fully-functioning historical town set in the year 1627. The complex also contains a recreation of the Mayflower, a craft center, a small farm animal zoo, and a movie theater.

Additional Note

  • CITY PASS: Passengers are NOT allowed to use a CITY PASS to purchase tickets for any of the optional sightseeing attractions visited on this tour.
  • Lodging: Single price is for one person staying in one room. Double, Triple and Quadruple prices are for two people, three people and four people staying in one room respectively. Triple and Quad rooms are based on the existing bedding in a room which is 2 double beds.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 1-2 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Confirmation

  • Your ticket(s) will be confirmed at the time of booking. Please allow up to 8 hours to receive the confirmation. Your booking will be processed as soon as possible.

Redemption

  • Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person for tours (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days or more prior to departure -10% of total purchase amount.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    4-7 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

  • This is a cool Summer trip with 3 boat rides, 3 outdoorsy museums and an open-air island ride, if you like ocean, this is cool summer getaway. (I also liked Smoky Mtns in Spring, with 3 caves, 3 views, 2 shows & zoo, if you like mountains, wonderful trip).

  • An amazingly good time. Martha's Vineyard is an oasis. The Whale Watching expedition was stellar. And the Sailing Cruise was just phenomenal. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a great weekend away from NYC.
