Travel to Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
The USS Intrepid is an Essex-class aircraft carrier built during World War II as part of the US Navy. During wartime, the Intrepid was extremely active in the Pacific Theater, and is considered to have one of the most impressive war records of any US Navy ship.
Beginning in 1982, the decommissioned leviathan was opened as the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. In addition to hosting tourists, the ship has served as a banquet hall for many distinguished guests.
