Travel to Rainbow Bridge
This steel arch bridge across the Niagara River gorge serves as a connection between Canada and the United States. The Rainbow Bridge was constructed in 1941 after the 1938 collapse of the nearby Honeymoon Bridge necessitated a new Niagara River crossing. Commercial trucks cannot cross the bridge, but all passenger vehicles can. In addition, pedestrians and bikers can pay $0.50 each way to cross the bridge and appreciate the scenery. The bridge stands 202 feet above the water.
