What began as a fruit stand in 1950 has evolved into one of Hawaii's most popular tourist spots. Dole Plantation sees more than one million visitors every year, but began as a small stand in the middle of James Dole's pineapple fields. Today, the area features tours and a plantation-house museum that explores the history of the company and its founder. The "Pinapple Express" train rides through the fields, and the World's Largest Maze is a sight to behold.
