Travel to Canadian War Museum

In 1880, the Canadian government founded the Canadian War Museum as a place to house a collection of military artifacts and memorabilia it had in its possession. The items in the collection span hundreds of years, from centuries before Canada's founded up through present-day conflicts. A Military History Research Centre is also located in the museum building. The current complex is actually quite new, having opened in 2005, and is considered an architectural triumph in and of itself.
