This Californian city is located in the Sonoran Desert, a few hours east of Los Angeles. It is famous for its modern architecture. There are many recreational activities available in the area, including biking, hiking, tennis, and swimming. Additionally, the city hosts the annual Palm Springs International Film Festival in January.
The 7-Day/6-Night Tour from LA to Yellowstone National Park via Las Vegas and SLC from July 11 to July 17 was the second trip we took with TakeTours.Com. We had a fantastic experience overall! Our tour guide was Daniel Teng, one of the best guides we've encountered. Daniel was experienced, knowledgeable, humorous, thoughtful, even-keeled, genuine, dependable, and kind. He made an otherwise long and taxing trip fun and manageable. The new touring style of using a van instead of a coach bus was a great idea, as long as there were plenty of restroom stops, which we did. We are also grateful that the four families (altogether 13 people) were courteous and friendly throughout the trip. Daniel's leadership presence certainly helped in that regard. Two minor suggestions for an already awesome itinerary: (1) In Las Vegas, we don't need to stay at a 5-star hotel, or at least not this new resort. The front desk appeared overwhelmed and stressed; the staff, including the manager, were slow and looked disinterested during check-in and checking-out. Las Vegas has many fabulous hotels with friendly staff and much cheaper onsite stores and dining options. This new resort was pretentious, chaotic, and overpriced. (2) At Yellowstone National Park, please add a stop along the north rim of Yellowstone Cayaon or include Inspiration Point, and add a stop to take in the panoramic view of Yellowstone Lake. Thank you again for a memorable trip. Jun and Ricard
The 7-day trip with TakeTours was amazing, and our guide Danny made it even better. He was super knowledgeable, always going the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. Danny knew all the hidden spots and kept us entertained with his jokes and stories. He was kind, fun, and really made the trip unforgettable. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, I’d highly recommend it, especially with Danny as your guide :)
Amazing experience. I had my doubts going in because of some *very old* reviews on the internet that are still there, but our experience has been stellar. Much of it was thanks to our guide Zoe (JingJing). From the beginning till the very end, she was nothing but helpful, attentive, and considerate. Many times, she went out of her way to accommodate us, including offering her own room when the hotel assigned us a room that hadn't had housekeeping done yet. The drive was safe too. She was considerate to smaller things too, such as the time difference concept that is new to foreign travelers, and switching between English and Mandarin as needed. She also gave us clear instructions about departure times. The itinerary itself is also very well made. I think it is very cost effective considering the competing prices of other tours. There were two 5-star stays, which is not the case in most other tours. Some other reviews seem to suggest that there are "hidden charges." I don't think anything was hidden; all additional charges are very well laid out in the itinerary or trip details on this website. Many items are optional, and they truly are optional to attend or not (we never felt pressured). Having said that, it is true that if someone chooses not to do an optional activity, some advance planning is needed on part of the travelers about what to do while other members are doing that activity. I would continue using this for the politeness and considerateness of the tour coordinators, and for the cost effectiveness.
John was very good guide. Fast drive, in time at all Must haves. Changing the tour that we have good weather conditions. Good option for breakfast, lunch or dinner even if you like no Chinese food. Every explanation was first in englisch than in Chinese. Our Guide was the first buying the tickets and the one who takes care of our luggage. If some don’t want booking a extra tour he had a tip for another Attraktion near by. The ramen soup was delicious and cheep. I can’t understand some reviews. If some people would read their contract… we paid on the last evening exactly what we booked. My wife lost her medicine in the park and our guide organised that we could go to a pharmacy. FOR FREE!!! renouncing his own lunch break. Best Service ever!!!!
I booked this trip as a solo traveler, my first time in the USA, and it has been amazing! Communication was spot on. My first tour guide, Alex, called me the night before to confirm and gave me his contact details. He was super insightful and approachable when it came to taking photos— very helpful since I was traveling alone! Plus, free bottled water every day! The itinerary itself was great, covering all the must-see attractions for first-timers. There was loads of free time at each stop, allowing me to soak in the views and truly enjoy my visit without feeling rushed. Just a suggestion: adding the cable car experience to the San Francisco stop would be excellent! Out of all the things we did in the city, we didn't get close to the cable cars. I felt safe throughout the journey, and I loved how we always finished our days just at the right time. It gave us the chance to rest or explore the hotel and area at night if we wanted to. On the second leg, Harry was phenomenal. He explained every detail of the trip and stayed in touch even after drop-off, making sure all tourists felt comfortable and safe. I will definitely book through TakeTours again.
