Itinerary

Overview

After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to "get their kicks on Route 66" with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion. Afterwards we could enjoy lunch at own expenses.

You'll experience about three hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. Don't forget to visit the historic El Tovar Lodge and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village. While at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or enjoy your lunch and relax with the best seat in the house.

Scottsdale, AZ

This city just outside Phoenix is known for its nightlife. Scottsdale was described by the New York Times as "a desert version of Miami's South Beach" with "plenty of late night partying and a buzzing hotel scene."
Williams, AZ

Williams is a city in Coconino County, Arizona, west of Flagstaff. It lies on the route of Historic Route 66, Interstate 40, and the Southwest Chief Amtrak train route. It is also the southern terminus of the Grand Canyon Railway, which takes visitors to Grand Canyon Village. There are numerous inns, motels, restaurants and gas stations that cater to the large influx of tourists rather than local residents, especially during the summer and holiday seasons.

Grand Canyon South Rim

The most easily-accessible rim of the Grand Canyon for visiting tourists, the South Rim is home to exquisite views and the Grand Canyon Village area, featuring lodging and amenities for visitors.

Grand Canyon Village Historic District

Grand Canyon Village was designed to facilitate tourism to the canyon's South Rim and is comprised of numerous facilities such as a visitor's center and two hotels, El Tovar and the Bright Angel Lodge.

Departure & Return

Complimentary pick-up service available from most hotels in the Phoenix, Scottsdale area around 6:30am, and return at 8:00pm. All tour times are approximate. Exact pick-up time will be provided upon reconfirmation 24 hours prior to tour.

I believe I booked back in February, 2022 for 9/14/2022 for two people. At this time, I cannot locate my confirmation. Would you be do kind as to check and resend same to me? If the booking did not go through do you still have availability for 9/14 or 9/15 for 2 people. We are staying at a condo in Scottsdale but can drive to the pickup place.

how long do we have to do skywalk tour will there be enough time if lines are long. or is there a tour that offers a longer time to spend in grand canyon thanks

Guests will enjoy more than three hours. Most of the tours are the same. There should be enough time for the sky-walk.
