Day 1: Reykjavik - Selfoss - Vik - Jokulsarlon near by (320 km)

You'll be picked up in the morning by your friendly, local guide in a small but comfortable minibus.
Your first stop will be Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Then travelling under the infamous Eyjafjallajökull glacier, you continue your journey to Skógafoss waterfall. After a quick stop for lunch, it's time for adventure! You'll head to the roots of the glacier Sólheimajökull, where you can roam around and explore this incredible area. A thrilling choice awaits: head up onto the glacier on a guided glacier hike. After that, visit the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. At the end of the day, you will head further east, where you will reach your accommodation for the evening, near tomorrow's highlight: the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon.

    Seljalandsfoss

    This waterfall in Iceland is situated between the town of Selfoss and another waterfall, Skogafoss. At a height of 200 feet, it marks where the coastline of Iceland once was thousands of years ago.

    There are many natural places of interest in the small beachside town of Vík, including puffin and arctic tern breeding grounds, a spectacular set of rock columns known as Reynisdrangar, and Dyrhólaey. There are also hiking trails, bird-watching trips, and horseback riding on the black sands or snowmobile on Mýrdalsjökull.

    Skogafoss

    This waterfall in Iceland lies along the Skoga River where it once drained into the sea. The cliff at the top of the waterfall marks where the old coastline of Iceland was.

    A large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the edge of Vatnajokull National Park. Situated at the head of the Breioamerkurjokull glacier, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 2: Jokulsarlon - Reykjavik (277 km)

We will begin the day by exploring Jokulsarlon further. The lagoon and nearby Diamond Beach are amazing for their natural beauty. In the summertime, we can take a boat ride out on the lagoon.
Boat tour have two options; cruise amid these impressive icebergs on an Amphibian boat tour which is ideal for families and larger groups, or you can dodge in-between ice floes on a speedy Zodiac journey which promises smaller group sizes.
After this amazing experience, it is time to board the bus again and start the journey back to the city. During your drive, you will pass beautiful locations, and make stops at hidden gems along the way, which your guide will pick out each time to best suit both weather and seasons. There is near endlessness of beautiful sites to behold, so you will not be bored on your return trip. You will reach Reykjavík Central in the early evening.

    You can cancel your multi day tour up to 7 days before departure and receive an 85% refund. The 15% service fee is to cover our cost of planning and arrangement. You can not cancel any individual services within a package within 7 days before departure.The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    If we cancel your tour due to weather conditions or any other circumstances you will always receive a full refund. If a volcanic eruption stops you from getting to Iceland you will also receive a full refund on tours.
