You'll witness the park's most spectacular attractions including Norris Geyser Basin, Artist's Paintpots, Grand Prismatic Spring, Pink Mud Pots, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Upper and Lower Falls, Artist Point, Mud Volcano, Hayden Valley, Fishing Bridge, Tower Fall, Canyon Village, Mammoth Upper and Lower Terraces, Liberty Cap, and Roosevelt Arch. After this day filled with natural marvels, you'll return to your accommodation near North Yellowstone.

    Fountain Paint Pot

    Fountain Paint Pot, heated by the region's underground hot springs, F.P.P is half hot spring, half mud basin. The spring releases natural shades of red and yellow because of the oxidation of iron in the soil.

    Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

    This impressive gap in the earth in the first large canyon on the Yellowstone River. It is 24 miles long, and can reach a quarter-mile in depth and 3/4 a mile in width. It is gorgeously colored.

    Upper Yellowstone Falls

    Located a quarter-mile upstream of the larger Lower Falls, the Upper Yellowstone River Falls plunge 109 feet down an eroded lava cliff into the basin below. The area below the falls has been subject to heavier erosion than above.

    The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River in Wyoming are the largest by volume in the Rocky Mountains of the western United States, and they stand more than 300 feet tall-- almost twice as high as Niagara Falls.

    Artist Point

    Named after the famous sketches of the waterfalls by Thomas Moran (but not actually the location where the sketched were done) this beautiful location showcases one of the most famous views in Yellowstone National Park.

    Mud Volcano Area

    Mud Volcano Area
    The Mud Volcano blew itself apart in the early 20th century, but visitors can still see the impressive crater and other geothermal features in the surrounding area, such as the Mud Cauldron, Black Dragon's Caldron, and Dragon's Mouth Spring.

    Hayden Valley

    A large, sub-alpine valley in Yellowstone National Park straddling the Yellowstone River between Yellowstone Falls and Yellowstone Lake. The valley is well known as one of the best locations to view wildlife in Yellowstone.

    Fishing Bridge

    Located near the mouth of the Yellowstone River, the Fishing Bridge is a great location to spot the native Cutthroat trout. There is an RV park of the same name nearby.

    Tower Fall

    This waterfall in Yellowstone National Park gets its name from the rock spires that sit at the top of the 132 foot drop along the Tower Creek in the northwestern region.

Day 4: Yellowstone - Salt Lake City (369 miles)

Today, you'll complete your Yellowstone adventure by exploring the remaining attractions on the Upper Loop of Figure 8. After concluding your Yellowstone exploration, you'll travel to Salt Lake City for a highlights tour of Utah's capital and the Great Salt Lake. At Temple Square, sister missionaries will guide you through tours, offering insights into Mormon history and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • A mandatory service fees for tour guide and bus driver ($12.00/day per passenger).
  • Personal room fees, such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/ mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.
  • Any private expenses
  • This tour does not accept any City Pass, Park Pass, or your own tickets for any of the attractions.

Additional Note

  • Booking: Please book airline tickets after your tour booking is confirmed, which should be within 1 business day.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children), and existing bedding must be used.
  • Chinese Visa holders: Please print out the EVUS form.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to a secondary confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is received. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip, they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Changes to Reservations
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellation Policy
      Cancellation Penalties (per person)
      Request day and departure day are not counted.
    • 31 days or more prior to departure - 10% of the total purchase amount.
    • 15-30 days prior to departure - 30% of the total purchase amount.
    • 8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of the total purchase amount.
    • Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
      Unused features are non-refundable, and no-shows forfeit the entire payment.
      Refund Process
      Refunds will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet for future use or can be issued to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
      Minimum Participation Requirement
      Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
      Important Note
      We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Special Price
    Prices may vary subject to availability/season/weekend/holiday.
  • Operator's Rights to Cancel and Adjust
    We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled tour and fully refund affected customers while making every effort to maintain regular operations. Additionally, we may modify tour arrangements to ensure a smooth experience. Please note that we are not responsible for any other travel arrangements impacted by our cancellations.
  • Itinerary Modification Due to Unforeseen Circumstances
    In the event that weather conditions, war, general strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances disrupt the journey, our company reserves the right to modify the itinerary without issuing a refund of the tour fee. This revision improves readability and maintains a formal tone.
  • Hotel Policy
    Smoking is strictly prohibited at all hotels, violation of this rule will result in a fine penalty of at least $300/person, along with other legal liabilities. One hotel room can accommodate 4 guests utmost (regardless of age). Guests need to contact the hotel and bear the fee themselves if you require an extra bed.
    Guests can check in to the hotel with a tour confirmation number and a valid ID.
  • City Passes and Personal Tickets Not Accepted
    For escorted tours, city passes or personal tickets will not be accepted, as they may not align with the group entrance.

We are interested in your Yellowstone Tour leaving SLC on 25 Apr, are there toilets on the bus? We need accommodation for two nights before the tour begins and one night after the tour finishes, do you book this or do we do this ourselves?

There's restroom on board. We can book pre and post tour hotel accommodation. When booking online, please select Yes for " Arriving Early" and "Staying Late".

  • The tour itself was great, Yellowstone is amazing and I totally recommend to visit it. But I was not lucky - I got all-chinese group, and the guide translated only about 30% of information. And most of the time I was listeting chinese without understanding what is going on. That really made a bad impression if the tour. I think that TakeTours should notify about such things
