This massive temple took 40 years to build, and was finally opened in 1893. It sits in 10-acre Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the campus is a popular tourist destination. Despite the fact that the public is not allowed inside this sacred place by the LDS Church, its dramatic Gothic architecture and massive scale make the outside more than enough for many visitors. Those who wish can find pictures of the interior online.
