Overview

Passengers will be picked up at Bay Area hotels in the early morning. Today we will first head to Yosemite National Park, home of sights such as El Capitan and the Half Dome. In the afternoon, we will drive to a special hiking trail in the park and have a chance to see some Giant Sequoias. At about 3:30pm, we will return to the Bay Area.

Winter Months Note: The Giant Sequoias hike depends on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours and it cannot be guaranteed.

Yosemite National Park, CA

Yosemite National Park in central California is best known for the amazing granite cliffs of the Yosemite Valley as well as the towering Yosemite Falls and Sequoias. Millions of people every year journey to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

El Capitan

The largest granite monolith in the world, El Capitan is located across from Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite National Park. It juts up about 3,000 feet from the ground, and is a favorite of experienced rock climbers.

Half Dome

The Half Dome is one of the most recognizable formations in California's Yosemite National Park. It is known the world over as a challenging and rewarding hiking and mountain climbing location, attracting thousands of adventurers every year.

	Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Approximate Tour Times
6:00 - 7:00 AM	Pick-up from your hotel in downtown or Fisherman's Wharf area for your Yosemite & Giant Sequoias Tour.
7:00 - 7:20 AM	Pick-up from West Oakland Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:20 - 7:40 AM	Pick-up from Dublin/Pleasanton Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:40 - 9:00 AM	Continue east, and you will see the windmills and descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a break and a snack.
9:15 - 11:00 AM	Begin the drive into the foothills, through gold country, and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park.
11:00 - 1:00 PM	Explore Yosemite's many amazing sights with an informative narrated valley tour from your guide. OR weather permitting* drive to the trail for a hike (two mile roundtrip hike) to the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias. â This stop is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to May. See Winter Tour Itinerary. Pick up a to go lunch or snacks at the grocery/deli stop in the morning for you to enjoy a eat after your hike. Alternatively you can wait for hot meal from one of the restaurants available near the Yosemite Lodge later in the afternoon.
1:00 - 2:30 PM	Be amazed by Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more! Enjoy a mini-hike and plenty of photo stops around the Yosemite Valley.
2:30 - 3:30 PM	Begin your free time in the Yosemite Valley. Here you can visit the gift shops, have a relaxing hot meal, or get food to go and GO! Walk to the middle of the valley, up to the river banks, or get up close to the tallest waterfall in North America, Yosemite Falls.
3:30 - 4:00 PM	Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west.
4:00 - 6:00 PM	Stop for a break, a stretch, and a bite to eat.
6:00 - 6:30 PM	Continue back to San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, or the Peninsula and the city lights.

For Yosemite tour, we have one East Bay pick up point at 7:20AM: 7-Eleven Store - 891 Airway Blvd, Livermore, CA 94551. If you choose this place to pick up, please write this address to "Hotel Pick-up Info".
Yosemite Tour Transportation: Complimentary pick-up service is available from most hotels in San Francisco. Please call local tour operator to re-confirm pick up time. Please click here to see the list of available hotels and pickup times. Exact pick-up time will be provided upon reconfirmation 24 hours prior to the tour.
Alcatraz Tour Transportation: Hotel pick up is not available. Guests should take the local public transportation: F Streetcar to BART-Embarcadero station.

Alcatraz' ticketing procedure
- Each booking will require the first and last names of ALL ticketed passengers.
- This includes children from 5-17 years of age.
- All names can be included on a single voucher that will be presented for ticket distribution.
- Alcatraz will be checking the photo ID of all adult guests, 18 years of age or older.
- These names must also match what was submitted with the booking
This tour must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance of your travel date
Confirmation for this tour will be sent within 1-2 business days after the booking is received
Please keep in mind that the tour duration may be too long for infants, but we leave this at your discretion.
Luggage policy: Only a handbag/ small carry-on is allowed.
This tour has a 6 passenger minimum requirement. Tour will get confirmed until it reaches the requirement.

Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. All tours can be will be confirmed within 1-2 business day.

Redemption

You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per order for 1-day or half day tours
(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
2 days or more prior to departure - the greater of $35.
Within 2 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
