Sausalito is north across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. It is the home of Vista Point, the Marine Mammal Center, and beautiful views of San Francisco Bay.
This is overall good trip. In SF trip, the silicon valley covered in itinerary but not covered in actual trip and the hotel booking can be done based on community. Recommend for ones on tight schedule.
Robin was a fantastic guide for our tour! He was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to! In just a few hours we got to see some spectacular sites... a great view of the Golden Gate and Muir Woods were our favorite! Sausalito was ok too, but would have liked to spend that time more at a park near the Golden Gate. It's a perfect way to see and learn about the famous parts of San Francisco! Definitely recommend it!
The van was clean and had a high ceiling so quite spacious. constantine was polite and funny. the trip up and down to muir woods can make you a little car sick so make sure you take your medicated oils/ meds if necessary. muir woods was beautiful and the stop on the way to take pics was perfect. the tour is timed to miss the crowds so that is superb. Suggest to stop off at Sausalito if you can!
Muir Woods: If your an outdoorsie person- this is a trip for you! Ride to the area a little rough as there are many sharp turns on a one way (each way) road. If your sensitive to this type of drive would recommend an antiemetic for motion sickness. Otherwise, excellent opportunity for phenomenal nature pics. Jim, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us on the "to do's" in San Fran.
We toured Muir Woods and Sausalito with tour guide Jim. The sites were great and pick up at our hotel was prompt and an awesome service; however, one of the participants did not show on time and we lost a half an hour waiting for them to catch up to the tour. Jim's driving was very good and his stories were engaging. We booked a second tour based on our good experience
Our shuttle bus was 15 minutes late. However, after that, the tour was great! Our guide, Robin, was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had two hours to explore Muir Woods, which was more than we expected (and much longer than we saw any other tour company advertise).
Hello everyone Firstly my thanks to TakeTours for such a great job in a cheap tour. We had a great time. The hotels were good and they tried to take us to as many places as possible. Trip to Las Vegas with the tour guide, Candy, was the awesome part. She was amazing. Very helpful and took all of the group together. The other guides were fine too. Ming and Che were good. We visited Las Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and San Francisco. The trip to Yosemite was awesome. It’s beautiful places, from homes to diverse plants and waterfalls. You will love it. Saying all this, I will like to give few suggestions. These trips mostly have Chinese people and the guides speak Chinese mostly which is bit confusing for others. They made reservation at Chinese hotel in Chinatown. I just wanted to suggest that please make reservations according to interest of people. We hardly got any place to eat because it was all Chinese food. Secondly the trip to San Francisco should be for 3-4 days. As two days are just to travel and it made me sad when we didn’t even have an hour to stay at Golden Gate Bridge and didn’t even fully get to explore the city. If one can come so far, it wouldn’t harm to stay a little longer at this beautiful city. We got only half hour at Lombard Street, which is kind of sad too. If the stay was for 3-4 days, we could have chance to visit the city by our own too. Over all good job. :)
The tour was well organized and exactly how it has been described. No hidden or extra cost and is same as considered as excluded fees for optional attractions. Some days were hectic and some were comparably relaxed. The tour guides- Ming and Eric, were very good and helpful. Solvang village tour is only during the summer. Overall a very good experience and if you want to see the West Coast in short time.
Good option when you would like to take a long tour and do not want to drive. The only negative feedback is that they take us to more of Chinese restaurants and for some one like me who is a vegetarian, it's hard to eat in those restaurants...
Overall it's good and value for your money. Tour guide was also very nice, can speak well in both English and Chinese. Accommodation is comfortable but a bit far from the city center (in Los Angeles). Wake up time is too early, but it's fine if all the program can be completed in a day, and still have free time for us in shopping and sightseeing.
