When it was built in 1965, the Toronto City Hall was unlike anything the city had ever seen. Indeed, it still looks futuristic today, almost 50 years later. The complex is made up of two curved buildings with a round council chamber in between, giving it the appearance of an eye from above. The City Hall is located on Nathan Phillips Square in what used to be Toronto's Chinatown. The buildings have become an icon in the city.
