Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station before 7:00am PT. by yourself (Please arrive at the train station at least 1 hour in advance to check in). Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.
Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 6:25am PT, your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today's highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends this evening upon arrival in Banff, between 7:00pm and 8:30pm MT.

Banff, known as the "soul of the Rockies" is a small town located within Banff National Park in Alberta. It is within distance of several hiking mountains and is home to many shops and boutiques.

Today we will drive along the No.1 Highway and head to the Lake Louise. We can get a far view of the Castle Mountain on the half way. Then we will continue to Moraine Lake, see Ten Peaks Valleyl. After Lunch at Lake Louis, we'll pass by Spiral Tunnel and head to Yoho. Next stop is Emerald Lake.
Stop at the Natural Bridge along the way and admire the Kicking Horse River as it carves a path through ancient rock. You can hear the roar of the disappearing water churning and ejecting beneath the bridge to further reinforce the move in making this a legitimate waterfall.

Lake Louise
Lake Louise is a glacial lake in Alberta, Canada's Banff National Park. The lake is known for its vibrant blue-green coloration, which comes from rock flour carried into the lake by the water of the nearby melting glaciers.
Moraine Lake
This glacial lake in Banff National Park's Valley of the Ten Peaks has a brilliant bright blue color due to rock flour that runs into its water. This beautiful and famous lake has appeared in advertisements the world over.

Yoho National Park, BC
These are the western slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Towering rockwalls, spectacular waterfalls and soaring peaks earn the park its name.
Spiral Tunnels (Passing By)
[Spiral Tunnel] is a section of the Canadian Pacific Railway that carried too much blood and tears of railroad workers and history.
Emerald Lake
The Emerald Lake in British Columbia, Canada's Yoho National Park is the largest of the park's many lakes and one of the park's most popular spots. The lake is named for the spectacular turquoise color of the water.

Natural Bridge
The Kicking Horse River, a Canadian Heritage river, in the Yoho park, has created a natural bridge through solid rock. This formation is located 3 km west of Field, accessible from the road to Emerald Lake.

Today, we will drive along Icefields Parkway. Along the way you will pass by Crowfoot Glacier. Following the visit the Peyto Lake. The Columbia Icefield in the northern part of Banff National Park covers an area of about 200 square miles in the Canadian Rockies. The Icefield feeds eight major glaciers in the area, including Athabasca Glacier and Dome Glacier.

Columbia Icefield Skywalk
Visitors to the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery are treated to something new for the Glacier Skywalk. Modeled after the Grand Canyon Skywalk, this horseshoe-shaped bridge lets guests walk out over the cliffside glacier.
Ice Explorer
Experience the thrill of traversing the ancient Athabasca Glacier in a massive Ice Explorer. This specially designed all-terrain vehicle takes you onto a 10,000-year-old sheet of ice, where you can walk, feel, and even drink from the glacier.

Athabasca Glacier
The Athabasca Glacier is the most-visited glacier in North America. It is one of the eight major glaciers of the Columbia Icefield. The Icefield Interpretive Centre is next to the glacier, and is where visitors can arrange tours.
Icefields Parkway
A 230 km long scenic road that parallels the Continental Divide, traversing the rugged landscape of the Canadian Rockies, travelling through Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. It is named for features such as the Columbia Icefield, visible from the parkway. It links Lake Louise with Jasper to the north. At its southern end, the Icefields Parkway terminates at Highway 1.

Salmon Arm first started as a railway camp during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), later developing into a logging, farming and dairy centre. It is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, clean waterways, provincial parks and an abundance of green space.
Eagle Pass/Last Spike
The outpost of Craigellachie is a tourist stop in the Eagle Pass, which allows the Canadian Pacific Railway to pass through the Monashee Mountains. This was the location in which the "Last Spike" of the railway was placed.
