Travel to Korean War Veterans Memorial
The Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC began construction in the early 1990s and was dedicated in 1995. The memorial is triangular in shape, and where the angled pathways on either side meet at the tip of the triangle is the circular Pool of Remembrance, which lists the number of casualties, missing, and prisoners of war from both the United States and United Nations. Within the triangle are 19 1,000-pound stainless steel statues of soldiers in action.
