The Northern Lights are the result of collisions between gaseous particles in he Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere. "Aurora borealis", the lights of the northern hemisphere, means "dawn of the north". In Roman myths, Aurora was the goddess of the dawn. Many cultural groups have legends about the lights. Many beliefs around the northern lights see the phenomena as a good omen.

Free at your leisure during the daytime. The famous restaurant --Bullocks' Bistro, their Grill local fish is very delicious. You can join optional tours or explore the city by yourself. Tonight around 21:00PM, start your Aurora viewing tour. Return to hotel around 01:00AM.

We will visit Banff Sulphur Mountain, ride Gondola, appreciate Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and experience Ice Walk at Johnston Canyon. Later we will visit Banff Town and spend the night there.

Day 7: Banff National Park - Calgary (693 km)

We will visit Lake Louise Ski Resort. Guests can experience Tubing, Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola.
*If Not Open, will be replaced by Icefield Parkway (Bow Lake/Peyto Lake)
*Will be replaced by leisure time at Lake Louise if not joining below optional activities.
*Nov-Dec & Apr stop for about 3 hours // Jan-Mar stop for about 2 hours

Afterwards we will continue to visit Lake Minnewanka and Banff Upper Hotspring

**SEASONAL SPECIAL For JAN-MAR departure, we will visit the "Bubble Lake (Abraham Lake)" + Heli Tour (Optional) instead of Minnewanka Lake & Hot Springs.

At the end of day we will return to Calgary.

Additional Note

  • Hotel rooms: The standard Twin room in North American hotels is equipped with one double bed, two double beds or one double bed or one sofa bed. Triple/Quadruple room does not include a third/fourth bed the room types are based on the double occupancy. No extra bed for 3rd & 4th person.
    Check-in time: Hotel check in time is 4:00 PM. Guests arriving in the morning are not guaranteed to check in.
  • Other Hotel Notes: According to the regulations of different hotels, you may be asked to provide credit card as a deposit for incidental expenses during the stay, such as telephone calls and ects. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms. Violation of the rules will result in a fine of passenger's own cost
  • Yellowknife activities: If the Yellowknife activities is canceled due to personal reasons, activities fares will not be refunded. If cancel due to severe weather, under-represented, uncontrol reasons, fully refunded.
  • Aurora: The aurora is an unique phenomenon in the polar regions but it is still weather dependants. We shall not be responsible if the northern lights are invisible, and guests cannot ask for refund due to this reason
  • Baggage Restrictions: one check in and one carry on luggage, with applicable size restrictions, are allowed for each person. Extra per baggage will be charged C$25+5%
  • Other Notes: Airport pickup day will not be guaranteed for the VIP Seat (i.e., first 3 rows or less than 14 people small group)
  • For Restaurants require lunch pre-order: If you select the meal plan, kindly make your choice for the main dish for lunch (each guest can have their own option. If your reply is not received 7 days prior to the tour departure, BEEF as the main dish will be automatically selected):

    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    TakeTours makes every effort to serve our customers better. We also advise all customers to purchase traveler's insurance in case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up. If a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place.

If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, TakeTours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
